“ I am not bound to win, but i am bound to be true, i must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.” - Abraham Lincoln

This quote means that it is better to be true to others than winning. He also means that he must be with people that do the right and stay with them as long as they do the right thing. When that person does something wrong he will leave them. An example of this quote is when Abraham Lincoln borrowed a book from his neighbor and one day he accidently left it somewhere where it got wet and he went to tell his neighbor what happened and after he worked for 3 days in the field to pay for the price of the book. Another example is when he owned a business he didn't give the right change to a lady so he closed his store and walked 6 miles to return 6 cents. This quote is really important because it shows how honest Abraham Lincoln was.
