This quote means that the way to get freedom is to be obedient. This quote also means that you get more freedom the more you are obedient. An example of this quote is obeying your parents. If you obey your parents you will get go out with your friends more, they will trust you, and will say you are responsible. If you do the opposite and disobey your parents they will not trust you and think you arent responsible.
